The WCA 2017 South America Finals are set to kick off with one place at the WCA 2017 Finals on the line for the winner of the tournament.
Eight teams will battle it out on October 7-8, for the lion's share of ~$18,450 and one spot at the WCA 2017 Finals set to take place later this year in China.
The brackets have been drawn with six Brazilian teams, one Argentine team, and one Chilean team ready to face off. The four teams directly invited were INTZ, Glacon, Merciless, and Bruno "BIT" Fukuda Lima and Pedro "Maluk3" Campos's TeamOne.
The rest of the teams made it through two qualifiers. Those teams were Nahuel "Straka" Vazquez and Nabil "nbl" Aleua's Isurus, Hafnet, ProGaming, and Dynasty.

The South American winner will join Chiefs and BOOT-d[S], teams qualifying from the APAC region, as well as Next Generation and Aimers Alive, that made it out of the Middle Eastern qualifier.
There will also be two Chinese teams, three European teams, and a North American team that will make it to the event through qualifiers, as well as one invited team.
